Answer from our Guest Expert Terri Levine of Comprehensive Coaching U, Inc.PAGE 4 Use Your Community To Grow Your BusinessI empathize with your fear of having people in the community know about your business quandary. However, when my clients have shared similar anxieties and experiences, and brought in advocates and then served as advocates themselves for other local small businesses, all the businesses reaped some positive growth. Ask yourself how you can let this fear go and ask for help and guidance? How can you give help to others? If you're "hiding" your business problem, you can't feel good inside either. I'm not saying you have to advertise your problem on a billboard, but I am suggesting you find three to five people you feel good about being on your business team and you contribute back to theirs. I have a client who owns a small store that was failing and instead of trying to hide it, I had her speak with all like-sized store owners in her community -- they gave her ideas and suggestions and really wanted her to succeed, which she did in a big way with their help. Take Care of YourselfNo matter what you decide, Jane, this is a good time for you to take care of YOU. Do what nourishes you and feed your soul while on this journey with your husband. Regardless of the outcome, find a way to treat yourself to the things you love and bring you joy so you have happiness, positive energy and can see the lessons (good or bad) in experiencing your life. We can't always control the outcome, but we can learn from the process! Terri Levine, Owner of Comprehensive Coaching U, Inc.
