Answer from our Guest Expert Lillyvette MontalvoPAGE 3Involve Your Employees in the ProcessIf you're thinking of more targeted incentives for your company, consider making your employees part of the process. Get together with the principals in your company and make a list of incentives you can afford that you feel would cater to your employees. Think of offers that your employees would really appreciate and also would make "the competition" fun! After you've done that, make a big announcement and let your employees vote on what they'd like best. Then show the voting results on which incentives won and by how much. Tout Your Winners & ProgramsAlways remember that whatever you chose, and whatever the cost may be, the true value lies in the fact you're providing recognition and positive reinforcement to your employees. Even if you have to start out small (in cost), make a big deal out of it. Announce your program and/or winners in your newsletter and company materials, your local business journal or newspaper, or on your website. Whatever you do, make employees proud to have earned that recognition and to work for a company that truly appreciates its employees. (continued)
