What was the most interesting, enjoyable, or memorable way you have ever seen Promotional Merchandise being used?

The most unique way I have seen advertising with Promotional Merchandise is in a hotter climate such as CA. Giving out handheld oriental fans that many people used at the time. They were designed with different colors and schemes and on the front had the business name on top and the back had the name, address, and website on the bottom. Not too large as to disrupt the beauty of the fan but enough to notice where it came from. These were neat because people would share fans, compare designs, and collect them. It was fun, intriguing, and memorable as well as creative and universal in hot times. For woman it was a beautiful extra decor and thing to show off and served its business, fun, and enjoyment purposes.

I've used promo items in many different ways, but the most creative use is having runners/walkers at local 5K/10K or half marathons wear a logo t-shirt, sun visor or have them display your logo or slogan somewhere on their person to advertise while still making it fun. Another idea is to have local college graduates display a carboard square of your logo or slogan atop their commencement cap so that when it is tilted on the backs of their heads while seated for the ceremony, it is visible to the audience.

The most interesting and memorable way that I have seen promotional merchandise being used is when I saw a group of kids that are patients at St Judes Children Hospital, wearing the companys shirt and logo. Children are my inspiration, and I support them in any way. When I saw this i was very pleased. These children all have some type of major illness or disability. The hospital is well known for treating children with these different diseases and to see a child wear the shirt that represents who he is and what he is going through is inspiring. With the amount of cruelty and bullying that children get when they are different from others being so popular, some would think kids would shy away from something that could lead them to being a subject of this behavior. But they wear their shirts that represents what they are apart of and they are proud and that very honorable to me.

The most interesting, enjoyable, or memorable way that I've seen Promotional Merchandise being used has to be the stress balls. especially those that look like the world.  Also, I have gotten a bubble gum machine from a bank.

I once saw a t-shirt promotion that gave the potential customer two t-shirts;one for them and one to give to a friend. The promotion keyed on a major aspect of business promotion. Word of mouth. As a result, the once average business increased significantly (50%). The catch phrase:TELL THE WORLD ABOUT US. There also was a small discount given for everyone who "recommended"someone when they did business.

I've read an articel about an inovative web site design company sent out 3-D glasses to potencial clients. Ones who recieved it are invited to go to their web site which is 3-D. I thought it was a great way to have potential clients experience new technology.

I received a business card from eos manufacturing (makers of 3d printing technology) that was printed on their machine. This business card was printed as a 3d puzzle that folded and as it was folded revealed a diffrent aspect of their business or novelness. People were walking around flipping and folding the card and others were running up and asking where they got the card. One woman was standing in the middle of the square reading the card aloud as other people were looking on. It was great. I wish I thought of it!

On July 4th this previous year, our entire neighborhood woke up to find a small USA flag on a stick placed in their yard near the curb.  It made our neighborhood look and feel fabulous and full of spirit for the UNITED STATES.  It was impressive.  And upon closer look, there was a business card attached to the stick that had the name/ contact info for a local realtor.  Everyone in the neighborhood knew who placed these flags there and most people didn't take up their flags for as much as a week!  This was not easy to do as our neighborhood has over 500 homes, but it was creative/ impressive/ dedicated and showed a lot of USA spirit ~ while tastefully and appropriately decorating our neighborhood too!  I'm sure when we get ready to move, we will be contacting this realtor!

We received a monkey fling at an online community conference.  Basically it's a stuffed monkey with stretchy arms that allow you to fling it like you would a rubber band.  The company's logo is on the cape.  Let's just say that the monkey has brought more joy into our office, used to diffuse heated conversations and brighten people's days.  To help us distract and to focus.  We have often found ourselves discussing how we got it and the conversation evolves into discussion of the sponsor’s booth and in turn their product.  Good promotion.   I love that monkey!

My favorite has got to be the mug I got from Nestles Quick. It was a mug with the "Quick Bunny" on it. You could not see the bunny on the side until it was heated up with Coaco Quick, then the bunny would appear! I still have it ...must be going on 25 years now,,,,great idea, that lasts!

I would have to say that water bottles I saw for dogs was the coolest promotional merchandise I had ever seen. There was a strap on this one-liter bottle so that the hiker/walker/bicycler could strap it on over his or her shoulder, but the best part was the detachable compartment at the bottom of the bottle, which detached and turned into a water bowl for the pet. On the side of the bottle was the name of the company being promoted. I was awestruck by how someone thought to do that, and since it was for animals (which is my cause), it had pleased and impressed me to no end.

I coach a youth hockey program ,and one of the local business people got 300 pucks with logos on them.  This affects people in 2 ways it helps keep fees for youth hockey from going up do to not buying pucks to help the kids.  It also gets this business name out there in front of several people.  It is a win win situation for the comminity and their business.

I seen a site in the UK where I can buya cassete case and cover with my track listings and biz info on it.  But its not a cassette. It actually houses a thumb drive so I can put my mixes on it.  Great, since I'm a DJ.

The most interesting, enjoyable, and memorable way that I have seen promotional merchandise used was in the form of a cookie.  One company put their logo on sugar cookies in ink that came off in the form of "temporary tongue tattoos" when you put the cookie in your mouth.  These were given out on a college campus promoting a text book buy back program that was "Too Sweet To Pass Up".  Not only did we remember them because of the great cookies, but we were really excited about the logos now placed on our tongues.

My friend invited me to the annual Breast Cancer 5k walk here in Flowood, MS. During the walk, I noticed that alot of the hats, shirts, and water bottles carried the logo of hospitals, car dearlerships and coffee shops. These items were given to the participants after the walk the walk. It actually made me feel more comfortable about finding a doctor at the St.Dominic Hospital. I was pregnant and needed an OB/GYN. I did not know where to go but with this logo on everyones hates and shirts, that was my sign to find a great doctor at that hospital. With my family growing larger, I was in desperate need of a bigger vehicle. I was wearing the wrist band that was sponsored to the breast cancer at the time I got the idea of wear I wanted to purchase my vehicle from. I am grateful for my Chrysler Pacifica thanks to this dealerships sponsoring methods.

I saw a White Out company use a larger than life 3d rendering of it's little bottle where they leaned the brush up against it just off the sidewalk and the bristles touched down on the white line to show the crosswalk in the street.  It was brilliant!  They had repainted just that line in the street so it was EXTRA white and there was NO WAY TO MISS IT!  Amazing.

The most interesting, enjoyable, AND memorable way I've ever seen Promotional Merchandise used was this one time I was walking around my hometown and all of a sudden a giant, and I mean GIANT, hoagie (very delicious looking I must say) popped out from out of this hometown hoagie shop.  There was also another person dressed as a hoagie dressed as this shop's competitor and the good looking hoagie would wrestle and beat up on the competitor hoagie all day outside of the shop.  The best adv

The most unique way I have ever seen promotional merchandise used was by a wonderfully creative pool company here in Southern California.  The owner's business is called Pineapple Pools.  For each of their clients for x-mas they took a pineapple with logo'd sunglasses and put them on the Pineapple on a floaty that was also logo'd and topped it off with a jar of Pineapple Preserves from Hawaii with their company logo and label on it.  It was awesome to see such creativeness!

Flashing suitcase name tags.  We purchased beautiful floresence colors of green, orange and purple name tags which fasten securely onto the handle of the suitcase.  Each plastic name tag has an insert for writing personal contact information.  What is special about these items is that with movement the name tag flashes brightly and colorfully, which helps the owner immediately spot their suitcase on the airports moving suitcase belt, or in crowds when traveling with companions, or wherever you left your suitcase for quick location.
