What was the most interesting, enjoyable, or memorable way you have ever seen Promotional Merchandise being used?

The most interesting and memorable way I have seen Promotional merchandise being used was a photographer at a Wedding passed out business cards with the newly married couples pictures on them.  So it was memorable because you had a picture of the couple and you had all his information on the back if yoneeded his services.

Definitely the most enjoyable promotional merchandise I've received from a vendor was a metal key ring that you pull and twist to place/remove keys from. It is beat up but as functional as the day I received it, used often to detach my keys from my gym tag and I've had it for ~8 years, but it has been so useful. I would genuinely be sad if it actually broke or worse, was lost - along with the rest of my keys! It's hard for me to NOT remember the company with this handy gadget!

I once saw someone wearing mirrored sunglasses with the company logo across the lenses. the wearer could not see the logo but the onlooker could.

I attended a conference last year where a company handed out free t-shirts with their logo on them.  Throughout the conference the company would email and tweet alerts that they were at a certain location in the conference and if you went there wearing the shirt, they would hand you cash!  A huge number of attendees kept those shirts on at all times, just to be safe.

I've recently implemented this is my store as I thought it was quite clever! Have T-Shirts printed, either with your own logo or using another verifiable image - but instead of giving them away, sell them for a price and everytime your customer wears one into the store they get a percentage off their sales.  You make a profit off the shirts ... they then become a walking advertisement ...  and your customer also benefits from a discount.  Win Win!

The most effective advertising I have seen is little squishy stress balls.  They were in the shape of a little guy with a with the company emblem on his T- shirt.  Everyone had one on their desk.  It was constantly advertising to management and their staff.  Served a function, advertised at the same time, and they became collectible.  PS- everyone ended up referring the service too!

We used silicone bracelet USB drives to promote the State suicide prevention crisis line phone number to kids at the local tribal school.

The most interesting promo merchandise I saw was a hard drive I received at a music concert . It was a portable mini hard drive in the shape of a microphone that had the logo of the concert promoter on it and contained about 30 songs of the recording artists that performed that day as well as the ones that couldn't make it. I still have it and it is reusable and a conversion piece as well.

I have two favs when it comes to receiving promotional items from a company, they sound silly but true! Number 1 is a PEN!! YES! A Pen! I can't have enough of them! Especially if it is a cool color ink!! #2 is a cuzzy..I don't know if that's how you spell it! LOL but how it works is ya put a cold one in it and it keeps it nice and cold for ya! I also have a thing for magnets. Now as I'm thinking about it, a magnet is my # 1. The reason for that being it helps me hang my children's most precious art and some family pics here and there...cause when it comes down to it your family is all you have. Friends come and go, but you always have your family through thick and thin. (sometimes you don't want em') :) but there always there for ya. Have a blessed day and I hope you pick me!! I tried to write more, but I ran out of my word limit!! LOL

I would have to say the most enjoyable and memorable way I have seen is a logo on good quality clothing. Everyone wants quality clothing, which is hard to find these days. Coats, hats, t-shirts, pants, aprons. If the quality isn't in the promotional item, it is assumed the product being promoted, isn't good quality either. It took me 12 years to wear out an awesome windbreaker coat I got from a local business promotion.  I wore it continually. Car magnets are very effective as well.

Little tiny carrying bags with the head of a stuffed either giraffe, monkey, flamingo sitcking out out of it for girls for the zoo.  I think for boys you can do a back pack with the head of a little animal sticking his head out for boys (my idea)

The most interesting and memorable way I have ever seen promotional merchandise being used is as follows.  One day as I was walking down the sidewalk, I passed a lady walking a dog with a small banner drapped over him advertising her dog spa and grooming business.  I immediately stopped and asked her was this an effective method of advertising for her.  She said yes and that most of her sales came from this particular way of advertising.  She says her dog is like her "walking billboard."  She stated , "he is the reason I am still in business."

The most interesting and enjoyable form of advertising I've seen was automotive vinyl. Almost completly covering the vehicle, it draws much attention(I only speak for myself).

The most memorable promotional item I received was at Tory Johnson's SPARK & HUSTLE conference for women entrepreneurs. We received a purse key hanger with the conference logo. It's a little accessory that hangs over the edge of your purse and holds your keys on the inside. No more searching in the bottom of your purse for keys. If you are like me, you are always searching for your keys in the purse. The coolest part is that the logo hangs on the outside of your bag or briefcase so people are always asking me, "What is SPARK & HUSTLE?"

I had some canvas tote bags printed up with my business information printed on it. I have a few friends who are very active in my community use the tote bags. We have an agreement that they will use it every time they go out in the community for errands & events!

When a company gave away toys with their logos on it.  I have also seen companies outfit an entire baseball team with shirts, shoes, pants and bats and balls.

The most interesting promotional merchandise I have recieved was for the annual smoke out at our local alaska native hospital. It was a sliding type calander that showed daily and or monthly how much money you would be saving if you quit smoking. It also showed  little pictures on how ones lungs healed in the process. It opened my eyes and it began my process to quit smoking.

We were at the county fair and stopped at a booth and next door they were handing out balloons to children but in the balloons were refridgerator magnates so when the balloon popped the maganets fell out with the company logos on them they were shaped in bears tigers puppies kitties so that the kids would want to keep them
