What does your business do?
Autism Rising's mission is to strengthen rapport and bridge the
gap between individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and
the community. The goal of Autism Rising is to prevent
unintentional maltreatment and/or fatal injury of individuals with
ASD due to lack of awareness.
When and why did you start the biz?
Autism Rising was started in August 2018 after my nonverbal autistic
son had a police encounter.
How Many People are in your Company?
Where's your office?
My office is inside my home. However, we use a business address to
maintain our professional rapport. For training, we use our clients
training facility and we also use the education center at Saint Leo
What's the toughest part of running your biz?
The toughest part of running the business is getting disseminating
the information and resources to the parents that need it the most.
What's the most fun part?
The most fun part is doing the training.
What's next on the horizon for your biz?
Autism Rising is looking to start a YouTube channel. On this channel
we will discuss challenging topics associated with parenting an
individual with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
What advice do you have for others?
My advice would be use all the hands that offer to assist you. Do
not be afraid to converse with people and network.
How do you use Idea Cafe to help your biz?
Our business will use Idea Cafe's grant to elevate our business to
the next level. Currently, our business is in need of education
packages to provide to clients using our services.
