What does your business do?
We help people clean up thier credit report, establish guidelines for rebuilding their
credit, and educate on budgeting to help families be able to purchase the car or home
their families need. We also focus on helping those in shelters to clean up their credit to
qualify for a rental home or apartment.
When and why did you start the biz?
We started the business in September of 2018. We are both stay st home moms who
have struggled with trying to repair our credit. We felt that we could help others become
more financially stable as well as create stability in our own homes. We hope to keep
our business growing so that we can do pro bono work for victims of domestic violence
How Many People are in your Company?
Where's your office?
Our offices run out of both our homes. Jacque’s kitchen table and my back patio table is
where most of the work gets done. Often we go to another stay at home mom’s house
with all the kids in one place so we can all keep an eye on them. We enjoy being able to
work outdoors whenever possible.
What's the toughest part of running your biz?
Honestly the toughest part is trying to balance being moms and working full time.
Between their school, after school activities, and the medical issues we both have to
deal with it can be overwhelming.
What's the most fun part?
Working with one of my best friends to help others improve their lives is one of the most
rewarding and fun parts of my life.
Anything you would have done differently?
Research research research! We started a bit too early and have struggled to get
going. I wish that we had done more research and had more things in place before
starting. Being prepared and proactive is now our ultimate goal.
What's next on the horizon for your biz?
We hope to be able to grow so that we can bring on another stay at home mom to help
us keep growing. We eventually want to both get licensed to do taxes as well. Then we
will also start the tax moms.
What advice do you have for others?
Be passionate about what you are wanting to do first and foremost. Find a great website
provider that includes everything you need. We went with wix and it was a great
package. Get your domain early, nail it down before someone else does. Be realistic, it’s
great to have dreams but make realistic goals. Do not underestimate the help having a
laid out business plan helps you in so many areas.
School (where, still in school, degree)?
Glendale Community College Associates in Social Work
Prior jobs or business?
Store Manager for Follett Higher Education Group
Senior Claims Analyst at Cigna Health Care
What are your pets' names?
Tobias and Isis Russian blue kitties
Do any of these pets help with your biz?
They help with my stress relief so yes! Lol 😃
Is there any one person or event in your life that led
you to go into business for yourself?
My husband became seriously ill two years ago and my good friend Jacque came to me
with the idea last fall. I knew we could do it and it would help provide stability now that
my husband is unable to work anymore. She knew I loved to help others and I jumped
in with both feet.
Anyone you publicly want to thank?
I want to thank Jacque Zawacky for having faith and trust in me to embark on this
