How to Use Your Company Blog to Make Sales

Your company’s blog is its official web home and represents your brand. It puts you in touch with your customer base, and you get to provide them with information about what your company does and more about who you are. These days, most people go to a company blog to find out more. But you want more from your blog, we’ll guess. Your company blog is only successful if it’s actively making sales. Here’s some expert advice for how you can turn readership for your blog into sales instead.

Hook readers and turn them to clients

Realize that people come to your blog to read the blog posts, which – if you’ve been taking our advice – should have been filled with interesting content and been something that people are able to share and really get into. These are your readers, and your content is what hooked them to come to your page. Now turn them into clients. Use your blog to showcase a catalog of the products and services you offer so people visit for the content – but stick around for sales.

Showcase your product

Use your blog to showcase your product. Post more information about the product for people who want to know more and might be inspired to order. Respond to customer questions in regular blog posts – people love a platform where they can interact with a business. And, of course, use your blog to actually show your product to your readers: Post a review of your product on the blog and invite them to buy it if they like what they saw. This is one way to drive sales through your blog.

Have an Order Form

Want readers to turn into sales? Then you should make it as easy as possible for them to buy products from your website. First, have a section that explains your payment and delivery options if it’s applicable to your product – people will want to see this, and if this information isn’t there, every second e-mail you get will be asking for it. You can also include an order form on your blog’s website for people to place their orders directly. This means that it’s far more convenient for people to order, and this means that it leads directly to sales – which is what you want to happen!

Special online only offers for clients

Another way to use your company’s blog to make sales is to put up a special online only offer for clients. For example, if they order online or place their order within the next five hours, why not offer them something special in return? This will give people way more initiative to buy, and this is what you want: Sales. We don’t need to tell you that you love it when getting a special offer from a website or company, right? So offer the same kind of benefit to your readers and they will definitely buy from you.

Contact for questions

Make sure that you are accessible at all times, and that people can contact you if they have any questions or complaints. You want to keep your response time to no more than  few hours to a day at most if it’s an international query with a time-zone to consider – if you let customers wait any longer than that, they will lose interest, and you won’t be able to turn these into sales. Always be prompt! Also pay special attention to customers who contact you for enquiries, as you can turn even the slightly hesitant customers into buyers – buyers who make the sales you’re looking for in your business. And you can do all of it just by making use of your business’ blog!
