Hi everyone, I'm in the process of trying to put a one page website up on the internet to attract clients. I have a Microsoft Word Document that has different color drawing elements to it. My question is: Is there anyway of converting a Microsoft Word document to the jpeg format? I want to upload it to a webpage. But my hosting account won't allow me to convert it to where I can paste it into the HTML code. Please reply with any ideas.... Thanks so much in advance... Jeff

Jeff,I have been in this situation before and figured out a trick that worked. There very well could be another way to do it but it worked fine for me. Try highlighting the document and pasting it in its entirety in Paint. You can find Paint in Start, Programs, Accessories, Paint. I have Win 2x and that is where it is located. Paste the document there - when you paste, it will ask you if you want to expand the Paint screen to accommodate the file. Chose yes. You will then see the document on the area. When you save, you can chose to save as a jpeg or bitmap. I have used this a lot to make my own graphics. Sometimes the file is big but it works. Let me know how this works for you. Good luck - Pamela

Someone asked above about pasting multiple pages but no one seemed to have the solution. Anyone? I tried expanding the Paint (version 5.1) page, but when I paste I still only get one page.In case the background suggests another solution to anyone... I have Word articles (no images) that I'm trying to upload to a website. Specifically, I want the articles to be in Typepad Typelists. I know I could just upload them as Word files but would rather have them be images/html.

jeff says correct about converting word to jpg file. However image quality will be so low with that idea. Instead of doing this work on paint, download free image program and paste the word document to image program. You will get exact result... No need to thank buddy it was just a little help from Turkey for all new users.

Jeff and Pamela,A couple of other options...to save a Word document as HTML, you can use the "Save as Web Page" option in the "File" menu. If you don't see that option, expand the menu. This option saved the doucument as HTML and saves the graphics element in a new folder in the same location as the HTML saved document. Both the html file and the folder have to be uploaded to your web host. Be aware that when you do this, the HTML may format differently than the original word document, due to limitations of the HTML format. Check out Word Help for "What happens when I save a document as a Web page?" As for saving the document into Paint, you can do that and then save it and open the saved file in Paint Shop Pro or another quality graphics editing program. Once there, you can either change the properties of the image to reduce the resolution (72-120 is usually good for screen displays) or use the "save as" feature to resave the image and run the image optimizer (in Paint Shop Pro) to reduce the size and speed up the loading of the image. As Fred points out, using "Save As Web Page" results in a folder containing a jpeg file for each image. This appears to be the only way to export the pictures in a Word Doc to jpeg format.>Jeff and Pamela, >A couple of other options...to save a >Word document as HTML, you can >use the "Save as Web Page" >option in the "File" menu. Pamela,Just wanted to thank you for the advice on pasting my .doc to paint. It worked like a champ. The background you are able to format in WORD.doc still does not come up with the paste, but for the most part I made my own background using PSTUDIO - an old but very simple program very similar to paint. This background I would insert just like any other picture, and then format the properties within the .doc as I needed. Cheers, and again thank you. Tom

Hi!Looking at the solutions, I will provide you with another one. Use the [Shift] + [Print Scrn] function in Windows (I presume you are using MS Windows). Then either use Paint or Photo Editor (this one is better suited) and use the (in MS Photo Editor it is ) commands. That would paste the image into the graphical program. Then use save as and choose you JPG format, then save the file. You will be able to save as JPG in Paint if you are using Win2K and above. The JPEG function in Photoeditor is available for a while (even with MS Office 95) Photo Editor will also convert between different graphic formats.Good Luck VLADIMIR http://www.knitshop.co.uk

You can also use a program called Snagit. It basically takes a picture of anything you see on your screen. You can select region or page and then just sage it as anything you like (i.e. jpg or gif, bmp, etc.)

A Nice Trick.. freeGet PrimoPDF its a software for printing anything into PDF using a virtual printer. Convert the document into PDF. Now Using Adobe Acrobat... Use the graphics select tool to select the desired portion. copy it to paint and save as JPG. Thus you can now convert anything into JPG that can be printed. without using expensive print2jpg like tools.

You might find it easier to use powerpoint since you can more easily control the location and appearance and the default layout is landscape... Once you create your ppt file just click Save As and scroll through the options to the jpeg / jpg one. If you have multiple slides, it will give you the option to create multiple jpeg files.
Also works great if you are doing screen captures by doing "print screen" and pasting into ppt... then you can crop and manipulate the image until you have it right... then save as before. Graydon Marlin Creek - Idea Seeds http://marlincreek.com
