"Anyone in the management consulting and coaching area"
Hello businessowners,
If anyone has started a management consulting business, I would like to know when they started getting clients and how they did got their first client? Did you incorporate and if so when?
I am a management consultant and I am waiting to incorporate and also trying to be careful about acquiring clients and wanted to get an idea about the experience of other management consultants.

Hello,
I'm a management consultant. I started my business as an LLC in October 2006 I received my first client four to 5 months later. I find that it's a networking business. You have to let people know you're out there. I have gotten a couple more clients via referrals as well. You also have to stay on top of marketing. I make sure I attend at least two networking events a month. Hope this helps.
