I have been running the clean out/junk removal company Dirty Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap, for 9 years. This year, we opened a complementary business, Good Deeds. Good Deeds is a thrift store, where we sell all the items that come in from Dirty Deeds at reasonable prices. This keeps things out of the landfill and helps out local folks. The sales cover the cost of rent, utilities and staff. Everything over and above that we donate to a different local charity every month in our "give back" party. We are on track to donate $17,000.
