HI I am a smaall business and personal devlopment Coach and have recently been hired by two of my existing small bus clients who own the their businesses to work with two of their employees who they are having challenges with. I use a great style of Coaching that really gets results but at this point I have on a few idease as to areas I could focus in on in general ways that small businesses have employee problems with as I have always worked Corporate or on my own. Can anyone whos worked in challenging small business 2 15 employees give me some ideas as to what shows up that I can maybe make a list of or is there somewhere I could find a list more detailed of problems they experienced in working with a small bus that I could use to percolate my own list to cover with these new cliets so that I could also make sure I get my usual results? Thanks Maureen

Your question was a little hard to follow...but I believe you're asking for a list of employee problems in small businesses?
Here are some issues I encountered with my small staff at my retail shop:
During slow times, rather than work constructively (straigtening racks, checking inventory, cleaning floors and counters, etc), they would read, do homework, chat on the phone and chat with each other.
Also, the smokers would smoke outside, but in front of the entrance...not an attractive picture for a children's shop.
And telephone etiquette was lacking. Stressing great customer service and trying to teach good cs skills isn't as easy as you would think.
It seems that common sense is seriously lacking with the younger employees.
