Hello, I am a licensed massage therapist working for a chiropractor. I also do massages on the side, and would like to set up a business so that I am able to accept credit cards, write off supplies, etc.
What is the best way to begin this process? Should I start a Sole Proprietorship or LLC?

A business plan is always a great place to start. Check out the Idea Cafe website for information on Business plan samples and other items.
CPA's are great for advice when starting a business. They can help you choose between Sole Proprietorship vs LLC.
As Lisa mentioned, check with your Small Business Development Center, or your local SCORE office.
