"starting a jewelry biz"

hello all

in the near future i want to start my own biz.
i will be designing and creating jewelry.
i think it is called goldsmith in english.

a friend of mine who is a weddingplanner will show my rings to
her
customers.
i will reach out to other weddingplanners afcourse.
my plan is to give them a brochure which they can pass to
their customers. i will display the rings in the brocure, and
have unique rings which will not be displayed, but can be
viewed in person.

but my problem is, how do i sell the rest?
can i contact a jewelry store, and ask them if they can sell
my product?
do people buy quality jewelry via internet?
maybe via my own site, but i dont want to sell them via ebay,
because i dont think they will take me seriously.

thanks for any help
