"Income projections for business plan"

Several friends and I are working on opening a retail Fair Trade store. I am in the process of writing a business plan and am at a loss as to how to project sales for this plan. I could say what I'd like, wha I think might happen, but don't know a resource for actual date to plug in. Any ideas?

Cindy

Contact your local Small Business Development Center. They should be able to at least point you in the right direction with either data to start with or a research point to start at. The Bonus? They are free.

Good Luck!

I agree with Lisa wholeheartedly.
I have worked with my local SBDC and they are a great resource. While they will guide you in the right direction and offer lots of advice and how-to info, you still need to complete the business plan yourself. While it sounds like a daunting task it is a necessary task.

And you are correct in wanting to use relevant numbers for the financial statements. While your assumptions are just that, assumptions, you want to be as accurate as possible to get the clearest picture and be able to come up with the most reasonable conculusions. I offer more help below.

Check your local resources for help. If there is a small college in your area, they may have a business class you could take or at least talk with them.
