"Discount Bridal Veils"

Hi. I am planning on starting my own business soon and am not sure which idea to go with. One is a small discount bridal veil & headpiece shop. I am getting married soon & can't believe what the bridal shops charge for veils. It's a rip off. I can get it & have, off the internet for a fraction of the price. I was thinking of having it as a nothing over $50 store. Most veils in bridasl shops start at $100. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

I would look into selling your bridal veils online instead of through a brick and mortar shop. Start up expenses are very high for a physical shop. Rent, security deposits, racking, equipment, furniture, flooring, lighting, etc, really adds up. You would need to sell a ton of veils (especially at discount prices) to meet the monthly overhead expenses of a shop. The rent alone would be a small fortune, then you have utilities, payroll, advertising, supplies, permits, and taxes that are never ending. And of course you'd need to sell other things besides veils to make it worth a customer's trip to your location.

Have you thought about setting up a web site to sell your veils? Selling just veils over the Internet would go over much better (in my opinion).

Good luck! I hope you find a way to get your business off the ground.
