this is a website that claims to be able to help u get funding for your business. does anyone know about this site or if its worth the $30 it costs to join?

This and similar grant sites are scams. Go to the Better Business Bureau, type in this business name and state (use Utah or Delaware for Americasgotfunding). BBB has given them an "F" rating, they are not licensed, and there are over a dozen consumer complaints there. Also just google "americas got funding scam" and you will find many complaints by people who got scammed by this company. One poor fella lost $5000 that they put on his credit card. If you give them your checking acct number, they will take money out of it. Or they will just keep asking for more and more money for "processing" "forms" etc. They will tell you that you are approved for the grant...but you will never see the money. If it sounds too good to be true, its almost always a scam.
