I have an Internet business where I rent GPS Systems to individuals and businesses, and the most common remark I hear is "I did not know you could do this." It is a fact. I do not have trouble getting users to rent my GPS Systems, I have trouble with the fact that very few even look for GPS Rentals because they do not know that it is available. I need more help with exposing the concept, and would really appreciate any ideas or suggestions

ARE YOU USING SOCIAL MEDIA TO EXPOSE YOUR COMPANY? TODAY MORE AND MORE COMPANIES ARE GOING TO FACEBOOK, LINKEDIN, TWITTER AND MYSPACE TO CONNECT WITH PEOPLE LOOKING FOR THEIR SERVICES. CREATE A FAN PAGE ON FACEBOOK. SETUP A MYSPACE PROFILE DESCRIBING YOUR SERVICES AND THE BENEFITS. LINKEDIN IS HUGE BECAUSE IT CONNECTS YOU TO BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS THAT YOU CAN NETWORK WITH AND HELP GET THE WORD OUT.
I HOPE THAT WAS SOME HELP...GOOD LUCK

Contact your local car rental companies, tourist centers and even the chamber of commerce. People who visit these business are going somewhere. Not all car rentals have gps, tourists centers only have paper maps, chamber of commerce gets visitors looking to move to town.

A good idea would be to understand the backgrounds your\ current customers are coming from and how to advertise to the specifically. I.E. Are they using GPS for travel, if so try travel magazines and groups. A second questions is why are they using GPS for rentals, do they want to save time finding something.
Once you find out what "types of groups" of customer are renting your GPS and "why they rent" GPS you will be able to determine places you can advertise and messages you can convey to build your customer base.
