"Chocolate - how do I approach suppliers?"

Hi everyone,
In the last couple of weeks since I thought of starting a direct-selling chocolate business, I have been researching what I need to do to make my business a reality. Both in this web community, and in the 'real world' I have gotten some good feedback from people, with some saying they would support it by having their own 'chocolate party'
I am up to the point where I need to approach manufacturers to see if its feasible to sell their goods.
My idea will be quite a small business although I will be selling through party plan, in markets and online (this may be subject to change) but I appreciate that some suppliers may not want to do business with me as it won't be very profitable for them.
My questions:
1. What is the best way to approach these suppliers?
2. What can I bring to the table so that these suppliers feel confident dealing with me?
Any advice you may have for a very small potential business would be gratefully received.
Thanks
KITTY KAT

Why not try the phone? Ask them if they do wholesale accounts. You are going to also need to make sure that you will have the money to buy a minimum amount up front since most of them will not do cash on delivery.
