"IT brokerage business"
Wed Aug-19-09 03:53 AM by ITconsultjeff

For about 2 years I have been running a small On-Site Computer Repair company. I have since started something else, but would like to forward my service calls that I still get to other similar companies in my area.

I was thinking of what is the best way to do this and how to charge these companies, can someone give me a few ideas?

Do the service calls always result in business? If so, then you could take a percentage of what they earn for that call.

You could also just take a flat fee referral.

So, you could collect the person's information, then call the other company with the information. That way, you could monitor to make sure you are paid.

If they do not always result in business, then you're basically giving the other company leeds. Generally, those are not worth as much

I would like to lean toward the percentage approach, but am unable to picture how it would work.

Here's how my gig works...

People find my company on the web and call me to fix virus's, replace Hard Drives, perform system maintenance, etc. What I do is tell them the cost for the specific service and if they are interested, I schedule a service call for them.

This is a fine and dandy when I am the person going to these places, but how can I arrange this for another company to do and then pay me a percentage of the amount made?

Can you please give me an ideal way to do this?
