"Prototype Question"

I have an invention idea but, I will need a prototype. I can not make (build) anything and wondering if anyone knows of reputable companies or people that just make prototypes. I googled prototype and found a few companies but, not sure if they are legit.

Thanks

You can check the Thomas Register to get a list of manufacturers that can build a prototype.

Generally, though, you can call around to local shops to see whether they can build what you need. But, the better shops will be in the Register because that's where everyone goes to look.

I agree with BizResearcher, you could also contact a local engineer or something. You can put up flyers in your local univesities/colleges if you have a major school in your area. Look for masters or doctorate students. You could also try craigslist.com.

In terms of reputability - ask for references and be sure to check them. It is very important for you to check references!

Good luck!
