"Demand Analysis"

I have a couple of ideas for Micro-businesses. Before I get too invested in what I really want to pursue it would be nice to know what kind of demand is out there for the services I want to provide.

How do other business owners, or entrepreneurs get a feel for the demand for their services? What types of data do you look at? So you know if demand in your market is trending up or trending down etc?

The ideas I have are so different that it will be hard to change course so I'm just wondering if there is any demand data out there that I can use to rank these ideas or eliminate some...

Thanks for the help.

Bobby

One of the best sources of this type of information is to contact your potential customers and ask them if the particular service you intend to offer would be something that they would consider paying for. You may even what to give them a cost range to see what value they place on the service.
