I started a home based word of mouth bakery in May of 2008. Here recently I have been getting calls like crazy and am becoming busier. So, I have found the perfect place that used to be a cookie store that I can lease. Well, I need to know what I need to do to get in there. I also need to find out where I can get funding with no credit. Is that possible? I just need any advice anyone can offer. I can picture myself just as plain as day in that cute pink bakery. I just know that Christie's Sweet Treats is the perfect business to move in there. Thanks so much for your help!

You also may want to consider incorporating. This way you can protect your personal assets from any liability that may result from the business. Once you incorporate the business you can sign the lease in the business name. I have seen too many people get involved personally with leases and the operation of a business with no way out. Its not that expensive to incorporate and it can be done quickly. Check out weincorporate.com for an affordable way to get that done.

First thing to do then is to establish business credit. Go to www.thebestincredit.com to get help with alternative credit resources. Check the leasing comapnies requirements as well. If you cant qualify personally, do take the advice posted earlier and incorporate and do a business credit program. Some leasing companies will do leases for companies with good business credit ratings if they are incorporated or organized as an LLC.
