Hi everyone, In the last couple of weeks since I thought of starting a direct-selling chocolate business, I have been researching what I need to do to make my business a reality. Both in this web community, and in the 'real world' I have gotten some good feedback from people, with some saying they would support it by having their own 'chocolate party' I am up to the point where I need to approach manufacturers to see if its feasible to sell their goods. My idea will be quite a small business although I will be selling through party plan, in markets and online (this may be subject to change) but I appreciate that some suppliers may not want to do business with me as it won't be very profitable for them. My questions: 1. What is the best way to approach these suppliers? 2. What can I bring to the table so that these suppliers feel confident dealing with me? Any advice you may have for a very small potential business would be gratefully received. Thanks KITTY KAT Chocolate Moose Micro-confectioners choc-moose.blogspot.com

Why not try the phone? Ask them if they do wholesale accounts. You are going to also need to make sure that you will have the money to buy a minimum amount up front since most of them will not do cash on delivery.
