"Hello, I need advise on how i can reach more small business owners."
Hello, I run a website which has been around for a while. Just recently we have been experiencing explosive traffic growth, which we are very happy about. The problem is that the traffic does not seem to be our "target user" More of a secondary user. The site is designed for the Retail & wholesale business owner. The secondary "target is the users who will be purchasing from the business owners. We are getting the "cart" before the horse,so to speak. Please do not get me wrong,we love getting 10k-12k unique visitors each month. We just don't want to lose them before the owners find us.
Can anyone make any suggestions for us to contact the business owners?

First thing you need to do is find out what is bringing those users to your website rather than your target market. I suggest examining your key words and targeting them to the words your target market will use to find you instead.
Good luck with that, it can be tricky.

Paul,
It seems you and I are reaching out to the same market. Feel free to contact me anytime but the key I use is reaching out to small business forums similar to this. Its the best way to get great responses.

Hello Paul,
Actually you will need both "target markets" to really make your site boom. But the first place that I would look is for businesses that are for sale. Start off with a search here:
This site has many links for these type of companies that are selling and should have all kinds of inventory that needs sold off. You can also search by state.
Also, don't be afraid to look in your phone book. Making cold calls to companies is not a bad thing. You just never know who is going to need to sell off their old inventory. You can also put a listing on craigslist.com for your area to start with. Then move on to other areas.
You have many options to grow your website for both target markets!!
