"Caught in an idea whirlpool!"

Ok, I have been stewing on this idea for over a year, since I
left my corporate job in October, 2012. To give you a little
background, I am a single mom of three (now teenagers). For
over fifteen years I raised my kids solo, climbed the
corporate ladder, juggled life and home, and finally worked
myself into a good physical and mental crisis. It was either
sell the kids or quit the career. Well, since my kids wouldn't
sell, I had to leave the job. (Just kidding, no CPS calls
please).
I know that other women are in similar situations. Too much on
their plates. But, I am sick to death of all the same old
websites that try to teach you how to manage stress, balance
life/work, etc... I don't want to just do affiliate marketing.

My idea is a membership site, dedicated to overwhelmed moms.
My motto is, "It's not about finding the perfect
solution, or solving the problem. It's about telling your
story and sharing the experience. The art of expression is
what frees the mind of clutter and opens your eyes to the fact
that you had the answers all along."
I want to create a site where women can share their personal
stories via words, poems, art, pictures, or whatever medium
they chose. And, I want them to have the opportunity to sell
their stories as products. I know how powerful expression can
be. I think that sponsering a site for women to share stories
and possibly find a way to make extra money
at the same time is good. I am sure I could also include
affiliate links and even make it local to some extent.
But like I said, its all a whirlpool. Any help on honing it
in? Sorry my post is so long.

Check out WAHM! (Work at Home Moms) http://www.wahm.com and Women on Writing at http://www.wow-womenonwriting.com.

They're not doing exactly the same thing you want to do, but these sites might help you spot things that aren't already being addressed so you can dovetail rather than compete with them.
