"Party Supply Store"

I am interested in starting a party supply store online and would like to know if it would be a proftable business to start? How could I differentiate myself from the other party supply stores?

As would be the case with a bricks-and-mortar business, it's impossible to predict the chances of success with an online store. A major factor would be whether you could generate a lot of traffic from from targeted visitors. To accomplish that, you'd need to know something about search engine optimization (SEO) or hire someone who does. Even then, there are still no guarantees, but it does tip the scales somewhat in your favor. One cautionary note is that when you Google the words "party supplies" there are about 6,850,000 results. That basically means you'd be competing with that many other web pages for high visibility in Google; and if you don't show up on page one or two of its search results, then you're pretty much invisible.

There are a lot of challenges to succeeding online, but it can be done. I just started an affiliate web site selling t-shirts and posters, but I know it will take time to gain high rankings; and the competition can be fierce!
