I'm thinking about starting a small company selling candy (maybe). I've came across sites like the following:

Do you know if these companies buy directly from the original company? for instance would they buy directly from Mars Incorporated and then sell it on their webiste? How is it possible to make money like this?

yep they make money off of this. they usually buy direct or from a wholesaler or distributer. they can have it drop shipped and never touch the product or order in bulk and package it.
For many away from home a sweet treat is nice to get, even if you must buy it for yourself.
For my children they are thrilled when they find the products they grew up with in the stores by them. Since this is not always possible for all, these sites help, even though for me they are too expensive to use very often.
