Hi everyone, I'm new to the site and very excited about all that I believe I can learn here. I wanted to run my business idea by all of you to see what you think.

1. I'll be placing business card displays in high traffic areas (freecards.com is the type of display I'm using).

2. I'll be asking local businesses to pay $30 per month to place their business cards in the displays. (I've waivered between $30 and $40 per month, not sure)

3. 1/2 of all profits will go to our local Children's Home (I'm in the process of establishing this with them right now).

4. The top of the display will have the Children's Home's logo and will let passersby know that the business hosting the display and the advertisers on the board have helped to provide $X per month to the Children's Home.

5. The display will also have a monthly calendar with family friendly events listed on it. The calendar will be changed out monthly .

6. I will keep business cards stocked in the display.

I'm excited about this, but I also want to be realistic. What do you think?

I think that is a great idea. I would love to participate if someone offered that kind of thing in my area. I say go for it but start slow without trying to put too many displays in too many businesses at once. Start with maybe 10 or so locations and then expand if it works well in your area.
