I used to offer a Free mural at the homes shows I worked. I had a ton of people sign up... but they were not customers. They were just people looking for something for free. So... a lot of people with their hand out does not translate into customers. Once I stopped doing the Freebies... my sign-up list dropped by about 90%, but every one of those sign ups was a customer. I'll leave the pile of names to my competition. I'll stick with the short list.
