"Government Contracts"

I am looking to get into the Govt. contract areana and was wondering if anyone on here has a Govt contract or a GSA schedule?
I am looking for someone to give me some advice on what they went through to get the contract and what would they do different if they had to do it over again.

Most states and local governments have procurement specialists that will help you for free. These people are a wealth of information. I have done a bit of it in the past. The easiest way is to be a supplier for a company that already is in the system and distribute for them.

Hello Inknmore,
I know this was an old post, but I was wondering if you got what you needed to help you get into the government contracting arena. I have some terrific software-as-a-service (meaning, no downloading or puchasing expensive software!) that is affordable and VERY helpful with identifying govt. contract opportunities, managing project workflow and your project team, etc.

Let me know if you want to hear more.
