"seeking partner & investor"

i have had a coffeeshop for 2 years that my husband and i have been running. it could go smoother and be actually successful if we knew what we were doing. my husband would like to fade out and go back to doing his real profession. this is a positive turning point as i would like to find someone that is much for knowledgeable in cafe start-ups and can be an active partner and investor. yet, how do i go about finding interested parties? does anyone know of any resources? any tips/advice? i am going to the small bus. assoc. as well. any advice is helpful at this point.

I was reading on one particular website that there are Business Angel Networks that charge a small fee for matching up businesses with people wanting to invest or be partners in those businesses. Go to Google and type in "Business Angel Network". There are some in Australia, Europe, Britain - almost everywhere.

Has your coffee shop got a website? If so you could always try advertising there as well. Can I ask what made you go into buying/owning the shop if you knew very little about it? This is an honest question out of interest - I'm not asking to be mean, I think it's great that people have the courage to try things they don't know very well. That's what's holding me back!
