"Business Ideas and names"

Hi, I hope this isn't in the wrong forum. My question is, do I need a business for each of my related activites, or can they all be done under l business entity??

For example, I have a coaching business. and I want to do a 'bread and butter' business...1-1 tutoring. Can both activities be done under the business XYZ LLC? Or does the coaching have to be under abc coaching llc, and the tutoring under abc tutoring llc?

thank you.

It can all be done under the same roof, but if you're going to receive payments in two different company names you'll have to register them as two different DBAs (doing business as). If the "bread and butter" business is just a trademark business, then you don't need a second dba, but you will have the odd difficulty when people pay you in your trademark; best to register two dbas even if it is just one business.
