Hi everyone. Just wanted to bounce an idea around. I
currently run a daycare from my home & I'm looking to
"branch out" I guess, have more income, help others
(especially our youth & young adults), but still be able
to be home with my daughter. As you can tell by my user name
(blacquen), I'm an african-american woman that is independent,
intellingent, & headstrong. I always have relatives,
former co-workers, friends & friends of friends coming to
me for advice on various situations in their lives, & not
to toot my own horn...toot-toot :7, they usually come back
& tell me how right I was or how much I helped them. I
would love to start an online advice column, similar to Dear
Abby but with that "blacquen flair." Something that
is real, honest, straight from the hip, & sensitive but
not sugar-coated. Everyone needs some help, advice, &
guidance every now & then & while this column would be
for everyone, I can't help but notice that there's not alot of
places that people of color can write in & get some real
truth, support, encouragement, guidance, & tough love when
they need it.
What's everyone think?
Thanks.....One Love
