I am interested in starting a small business supplying groupings of products for elderly pets. I am having a hard time finding wholesale suppliers of say dog beds, heating pads, just various articles. My idea is to have a grouping of items that would benefit the animal...so as in what I mentioned above, a dog bed with a foam comfortable bottom, a heating pad, one of those reflector pads to put over the bottom of the bed....just things along those lines. I am having trouble finding a place to buy decent beds at a wholesale price. Also hard to tell if a business is legitimate. I've looked on line for hours it seems but don't know how to tell what I'm getting, if it's a good price, quality...also how to educate myself about dropshipping. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The above is not all I would sell but that's just an example.

Hi. You have a great idea but you might have to do abit more research on things like pricing e.t.c. No one can give you the price that you should trade at. My suggestion is look at online retail prices, then you will subtract what you think your profit should be (usually at the 30% range) but you will have to remember overheads and include them on your expected costs. e.g. if a retailer is selling a dog bed at $35, expect to purchase it on wholesale at around $20-$25. As far as grouping the products is concerned, you will have to go for different suppliers of different items then put them together yourself, as happens with gift baskets. I have no idea bout dropshipping, but I'm sure more advice will be forthcoming from otehr cyber schmoozers. Good luck!
