What do you do when you have an idea for a business that you personally don't want to use? Can you patent the idea or something and sell the idea to make some extra money?
I have an idea for a food shop that doesn't exist but there would be a real market for it. I can't see myself ever working in the food industry, it doesn't really interest me....so can I patent and sell my unique idea?

My first thought is if there is a real market for a business idea yet nobody is doing it, is there really a market? I can assure you that just about anything someone thinks of today, and money can be made, someone is already doing it.
Don't give up on your idea though because you may find someone to do the work for you and split the profits. Seek out investors and run your business plan by them.
