I am mostly finished with my business plan for a gift/garden/gourmet retail shop. I put in numbers that I thought were realistic based on my experience with another business I owned, but the SCORE volunteer asked me if it was simply wishful thinking or did I get my numbers from somewhere. Obviously, I don't have realistic estimates.

Anyone out there have an idea of where to get realistic sales numbers for a startup gift/garden/gourmet shop? I would also need to know if it is realistic to bootstrap with $20,000.
