Hello All,
I have been baking cakes at home for the past year and selling
them to a popular local coffee/smoke shop.
The demand has increased to the point that I have to hire
another person (in addition to family) to help me bake and
package the product and distribute.
My problem is that the owner has now asked me for liability
insurance (yes, after all this time) and I do not have
insurance for the product!
Does anyone know the procedure for getting my product insured
ASAP?
I have promised to deliver the product on Monday, April 20th.
The store is selling out of my cakes and customers are asking
for them~
A big thanks to anyone who will respond.
If you find yourself going through hell......keep going!

Most of the large insurance companies have product liability insurance divisions. We franchised 12 restaurants and each got their own insurance from local agents. try your own local agent first.
