Hello, I started up an at home business. It is very small right now (hair products related). My township found out that I have a home based business. They want $$ for me to run my bus out of my house. No big inventory/trucks/people are coming to my house. It is very small. They made me fill out an application and wanted dimentions of my house, and even want to come inspect it. What are they going to see a computer in a bedroom office? Has anyone else run into this problem? I took an ebay course once and told them about this problem and they ALL asked what township I lived in because they never heard of such a thing.
I am wondering if this is even legal or if someone is doing all this to justify/keep their job. I am really upset over this because they want like 250 bucks a yr and my business has only sold 2 items 50 bucks. Any suggesions?
