We are still in the very basic stages of launching our company and we would really like to do this right from the beginning if at all possible.

How do we create product codes for our handcrafted items so that when people order an item we are tracking them properly?

We are planning on purchasing QuickBooks Pro - but I didn't know if the software would assign a code or do we.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
