My husband and I through the process of building our prototypes know what it costs us to build the product, but is there a formula to help figure out what we could/should sell it for? And how do you figure out a Wholesalers Price versus our Retail Price? Is there an established formula that can be applied?
We hope to have some high-end children's furniture stores carry our product, but plan to sell mostly from our website (when we can get that up and running). We will also sell at local fairs, exhibit booths etc. to get our products out there.
But before we take our product to market - we really need help to determine the pricing. All help would be grately appreciated!!!

A very basic formula for pricing is 50% of the retail price would be the wholesale price. Or triple your cost to produce one item would be the retail price.
Of course there is so much to consider when pricing it is rarely that simple.

I will definitely go to your site and check it out. We are so unsure when it comes to pricing. Mainly because our product is not cheap which is probably due mostly to its size and the quality of wood and craftsmanship. We don't want to price ourselves right out of the market either, but would like to make a profit - or why do it, right.
