I am helping my nephew with a bakery business plan. We are looking for companies that sell industry information (economic data,sales trends, competition, industry drivers, demographics etc) . I came across Sundale Research, 18 Morton St., 2nd Fl.Brentwood, NY 11717.

I checked BBB and the company is not listed and there is no mention of them. Do you know anything about this company before we commit our money? Better yet, what would you use?

Have you tried Hoovers.com?

If you can't find information about them, ask for references and call the references. If they can't provide them, then you'll know that you have to look for another company.

I wouldn't let a lack of BBB membership dissuade you. There are PLENTY of legit businesses that don't want to pay BBB fees

I agree with the person that posted the remark about not letting it disuade you because they arent BBB listed (its a racket for the most part). Definetely ask for references and I see that they accept PayPal. If worse came to worse, they offer buyer protection so you could get your money back if you proove that they did not provide what you paid for.

My company does that sort of research and information in relation to putting together a marketing plan (our rates start at $500 for the type of information they are providing for $149.00 but its also a complete marketing plan)so I would say its a good deal if its real.

I found demographic info from my area...1mile, 5 mile and 10 mile radius, by going onto "Commercial real estate" sites in my area.
If you click on a location for sale closest to your business location, the site should give all business sales, by catagory, population breakdowns, etc. It is done for you! and you get to see if there is a prime location that will suite your business better than what you have, or if you want to branch out.
