"Use a wall callendar to track goals"

A motivational trick is to track your goal activities in a visible way. Remember out of sight out of mind.

Let's say that your goal is to exercise three times a week. To track your progress and to motivate you, everytime you exercise write EX in the date square of the days you work out.

You will then have a visual record of your progress.

REWARD yourself for accomplishing your goals. Give yourself a samll reward at the end of each week or at the end of a month for
100% achievement of your goals.

In your business think about what is the one thing that if you did it on a consistant basis would have the greatest impact on your business. Set a goal of how many and how often you will do it, and when you do it mark it on your calendar. Again reward yourself (use money from the extra profits you made.)

Make your tracking system visible, work at achieving your goals, record the actions taken on the calendar and you will succeed.

Dare to dream and then dare to begin!

I agree.
Everyday at close of business, I create a to-do list for the next day. I call it my Success List (corny, I know, but it works for me). Everytime I accomplish something on my list, no matter how small I feel successful. It really helps during those times of uncertainty and I need extra motivation.

I know this is an old post, but I thought I'd fill in my two cents on this. It's so important to track what's going on in the business. I forget from one minute to the next. I use icalendar on my computer to make a list for the next day and to check off what I've accomplished for today. But I also use openoffice or excel to make a chart of everything I need to do and what I've done. It makes me feel good to have accomplished a little something or a lot of somethings every day!
