Pilot Grant for Registered Idea Cafe Regulars

Here's our winner, Percy Marchand, of Marchand Ink in New Orleans. After he won Idea Cafe's Pilot Grant, he was featured in The London Times in a color feature article (their photo, much reduced, is at left), plus he was named one of the "People to Watch" by New Orleans Magazine. Not to mention that he increased his income by 300% and moved to a new, better location twice as large. So be sure to click through the link above to read Percy's story and his insightful reports.

With this Pilot Grant, we tested through our custom backend grant process to be sure it all works smoothly, since we want to pump through as many grants as we can afford to deserving entrepreneurs.

Grant Dollars: Grant amount = $1,000 to one winner.

Timing: Winner announced July, 2006.

For What Kind of Person or Business: Anyone who currently owns a business or is planning to start one.

Qualifications: In order to access the application form, you must be a registered "Regular" member of Idea Cafe, and not previously have received a grant directly from Idea Cafe.
