What does your business do?
We are the makers of the patented K-GARD Hand Cleaner. It is an industrial hand cleaner that effectively removes a wide variety of contaminants including grease, tar, ink, paint and oil, among many others. K-GARD is unique in that is can be used without water AND it moisturizes the skin to help heal and prevent the cracking and dermatitis that is often suffered by individuals who work with their hands. We are a small, family-owned company in the Cleveland, Ohio area, and are very proud of the fact that our product is made entirely in America.

How would you use the grant money?
The grant would be put towards helping to update our office and manufacturing equipment so that we can work more efficiently on filling orders from our existing customers.

What would the grant enable you to do that you can't now?
Public awareness of our product is currently one of our biggest challenges, and there are several marketing projects that we would like to address. If we were able to fill the orders of existing customers more efficiently, more time and resources would be available to take on these projects so that our business can grow.

If Idea Cafe's Grant helps your biz reach greater success, how will you "pay it forward" to help others in some way?
As a small, family-owned business, we are frequently approached by various local organizations for donations and sponsorships. Achieving a greater level of success would allow us to increase our commitment to these organizations.
