Yoga @ Your Desk:

Yoga Position #24: The Thinking Cap Exercise

by Blake More

Two easy exercises to get out and put on your thinking cap.

First Objective: The first part is what I like to call "Knock You Up Side The Head" -- excellent for brain activation, inner ear and pineal gland stimulation, and for relieving eye tension.

1. Place the palms of your hands over your ears with your fingers lightly wrapping around the base of the skull, thumbs pointing down.

2. Snap the index fingers of each hand off your middle fingers, striking the head as firmly as possible.

3. Keep a regular rhythm.

Second Objective: The second part ("Chew The Fat") keeps you awake and strengthens the teeth, gums, joints, spine, and yes, even the brain.

1. Click your teeth together while keeping your mouth closed. Try to do this in unison with the finger-snapping exercise, above.

2. You now have your thinking cap on!
