Non-Disclosure Agreement
When you present a business plan to a potential investor, or start to discuss a new concept with a strategic partner, you want to be able to tell the other party all they need to know to buy into the deal. But naturally you don't want word of what you're planning to reach competitors or the ears of others who have no right or reason to hear about what's cooking.
The document you use to have the other parties to agree to keep mum is a "Non-Disclosure Agreement." This can be pretty simple, like the following form you can copy, revamp and run by your attorney for review. (You can just highlight the text as you see it in your browser, then copy and paste it into your favorite word-processing program.) Please keep in mind, this is just a tool to get you started in the right direction -- your attorney may want to beef it up.
