"new name for embrodiery/screenprint shop"

Hi! I have an embroidery shop ,recetnly, I bought another shop out and began using their name as they were and older business. I am now having problems because of the past owners performances or lack there of. I was thinking of a ...... designs name as we offer embroidery, screenprinting, advertising specialties( ink pens etc),and graphic design services. I have come up with A. Keghan Designs (not my name)
Any feed back???? or other suggestions
Thanks
ML

ML;

Sorry to hear the previous owner under-performed. I hope you got a good price for the business.

The good news is your experience is not unique. Many have gone thru this before without changing the business name and came out of it just fine.

Do you really want to change the name or feel you "have to"?

The name you chose is fine. However, you may be adding a lot of work to your plate. Your time may be better spent working on generating business and getting old clients back.

Just my opinion!

Suzane,
I failed to mention our current name is very ordinary in the embroidery business. There are at least 6 with the exact same name in our area, and nationaly I get mixed up with business from Texas to Maine and California to Virginia. I'm from central Illinois. The mix ups are emails, shipments and customer contacts. So all things considered, I think the change will not be regretted as long as I come up with a good one. Thaks for your input

How about "Inkcredible". Or "I.C. Magic". There are hundreds of choices. Spend your time on the name. It's the first point of contact and the LAST thing the customer will remember. After the product or service is long gone they will still have your name IN MIND.

Don't inheret poor naming practices from uncreative business owners. Remember, nobody wanted to have anything to do with an Edsel.
