"Could use some creative ideas!!"
|
I'm hoping that some of the same creative people who have
responded before will be looking!
I'm starting a small business to provide E-Newsletters to
small businesses and/or non-profits. I'm trying to capitalize
on this as a way to get around the high prices of
postage/printing/paper. I will do the whole thing (mailing
list upkeep, design, copy/etiting, images) or part.
This would also be for those who just don't want to learn or
have the time?to get over the learning curve of doing it
themselves.
Would do business anywhere in the USA.
Names I have now are:
JudE-news
JudysEasyNews
E-asy Connect
EzConnect
Possible Taglines:
Stay Connected.
Helping you stay connected.
Need Help?
Behind the Scenes, E-mail Design
Any help/off the wall, cool ideas would be appreciated! Needs
to become a usable URL as well.
Thanks!
Judy Herzanek

Hi Judy!
Given your requirement for a url, I would cut anything that has a dash in it unless you can get the domain name with and without the dash. Most people will forget to the put the dash in, and poof, your customer goes to a competitor.
I also would get rid of any domain name that misspells words - e.g., ez versus easy, unless you can get the correct spelling as well. Reason: see above.
Finally, to me, just using the word news sounds like you're discussing news and not offering the service of writing/sending/etc. newsletters. So, I would go with something like: Judyseasynewsletters.com (and the name is available).
From the tag lines you provided I like both the 1st and 2nd. 3rd makes me say with what? 4th, you're not designing e-mail but newsletters
Best of luck!!

Hi Judy!
Great choice!! But still no website? Try not to delay too long. The website doesn't have to perfect - you'll be changing things all the time. What's important is that you get stuff up there ASAP.
Best of luck!

Hi Judy:
Okay, I have some initial comments - your phone number and e-mail should be at the top (below the E-Newshelp!). The phone number and e-mail in the page should be a different color (or in a table or something) to make it stand out.
- the search this site should be above the About (or below) and not so low that you have to hunt for it. But, if you don't have a lot of information yet, then no reason to have a search this site at all.
- in the links you have at the top, there is no link for Home to get back to the Home page
- About page - I don't care about your design experience... you're writing and advertising for me. I want to know about your writing and advertising experience (or which design is certainly a part of but not the whole thing...).
- Contact - people are going to call you at all hours of the day. You should just list your "open" hours and then note that it's mountain standard time.
- Services - why are you advertising Constant Contact? Seems like you're likely to send customers away to a competitor.... no?
