"BookBag To Go??"
Fri Mar-23-07 05:41 AM by mbh85

I have been thinking about an idea but have been overwhelmed with the endless amount of possibilities. I want something that is useful and I came up with BookBag To Go.
Basically its a Bag, bookbag, or shoulder bag (large enough for school) completely filled with all the school items required.
Ex: Filled with Paper, binders, pens, pencils, markers, highliters ect ect.. That way parents won't have to scurry in a chaotic environment trying to find school supplies for their child or children. Obviously there would be options to choose from and everything that wouldnt fit in the bookbag would be included in an extra bag on the side. My only concern is that this seem to be good only for when school's just about to begin.

Does this seem like it would make a good business?
Any comments or constructive critisism is much appreciated.

Thanks!

#1. "stiff competition in my area"

It sounds like a viable idea... depending upon the market area.

In my area, every single grocery store (HEB, Wal-Mart, Randalls, Krogers) has this stuff pre-packaged and plastic wrapped based upon each school campus in the area.

Not to mention that the schools also offer this same product when students register for kindergarten or at the end of the year for returning students.

Besides the sourcing issues to be competitive, you'll also have the logistics information to deal with however many schools are in your area.

One possibility would be to try to work with a campus to see if you could supply the stuff in a bag... but most of the kids around here would prefer to pick out their own bag / backpack.
