Hi,everybody! My name is Tim Taylor, & I want to start an e-bike manufacturing business. I have the fabrication exp. needed, as I have done that kind of work all my life. I know there are some bisiness's like this already out there, but they seem very high priced. I want to create jobs, & help decrease our use of oil(gas). Does anybody here know about how many business's ther are out there that are doing well, & do you think that this is a good idea?

I actually think that it would be a great idea as there is definitely a market out there for electric run cars/bikes etc and because of all the hype about pollution and global warming, many people are trying to be "green". You would need to find your ideal niche or target market as they are expensive, but you may be able to separate yourself by providing quality bikes at low prices, and targeting people into the whole eco thing (many advertising tools allow you to preference). Also you would also do well to over deliver on value. Give people more support in terms of vehicle maintenance, repairs and so on. When people see that you are willing to go above and beyond what your paid for, people will be coming to, rather than having to find them.
